Tracking Your Personal Patterns

The first step toward regulation is awareness.

You will begin noticing:

• when you feel activated
• what situations trigger reactions
• what your body sensations are
• which survival response appears

This process is called nervous system tracking.

Daily Awareness Practice

At least once per day ask:

  1. What am I feeling in my body right now?

  2. Am I activated, calm, or shut down?

  3. Which survival response might be present?

The goal is not to fix anything yet.

The goal is simply noticing.
