Lesson 2
Weekly Nervous System Check-In
You are no longer someone who ignores your internal state.
You are someone who checks in.
Once a week, create a moment that is just for this.
No performance.
No fixing.
Just awareness.
Set a reminder on your phone to alarm at the same time each day.
Maybe two or three times, one in the morning, once midday, once in the evening. Every time your alarm goes off check in with yourself. “How am I feeling? Safe? Overwhelmed? Activated? Regulated?”
Keep a log in a journal of those daily check-ins.
At the end of the week ask yourself:
Where have I been operating from this week—safety, survival, or shutdown?
What supported my nervous system?
What dysregulated me?
What patterns am I noticing?
What needs to change or adjust next week?
This is where your self-awareness becomes self-leadership.
